The Chianti Classico Riserva is made with a choice of the best grapes of the Casina di Cornia.
Experience has taught us where to choose the best grapes, with more complexity which are usually in the older vineyards, planted in 1983 and 1987 to produce this wine.

this allows us to choose the best grapes in the different places according to the weather result of each season.
The maceration with the skins is longer, it is indicatively of 30 days, to obtain a richer and more structured wine. Then it goes for 12-18 month in barrique and 500 litres tonneaux, with a preference to the tonneaux which do better respect the Sangiovese finesse. After being blended it stay another 2 years in cement before bottling.
